The ParentingMontana.org website is where you will find real value as you investigate ways to improve your parenting skills starting at birth and continuing to grow your skills to meet your child’s needs up to age 19. Here is a very small sample of what this website provides:
Each section includes audio and print explanations with examples, graphics, podcasts, videos and references.
After the “Getting Started” section you will see the “Tools for the Age of Your Child” section. The “Tools for the Age of Your Child” section includes twenty blocks for ages 0 through 19, each “block” having many (some over 20) age-appropriate topics. Each topic has an audio and print file of the tool with instructions on ways to practice skills and develop habits.
ParentingMontana.org addresses issues such as chores, stress, peer pressure, homework, family rules and much more for each age. Every age “block” includes several topics. For example, there are 23 topics such as anger, disrespect, reading and routines listed for “5 Year Olds.”
ParentingMontana.org has wide applications for a variety of topics and challenges. As a parent, you can intentionally engage in this process to build your child’s social and emotional skills at every age as well as build your own skills as an effective parent. There are many podcasts and videos (including transcripts) throughout this website.
