Topic 3: Time Management – House Chores
The same technique used for homework can also be used for home chores.
At the beginning of each school year, design a work chart for the family.
Each member of the family will have a set of chores to complete daily or weekly.
During a family meeting, all members of the family will brainstorm a list of household chores (dusting furniture, vacuuming/sweeping floors, laundry, setting meal table, cleaning off the table, washing dishes/stacking dishes in the dishwasher, etc.).
A meal prep chart can also be developed, noting who will make the evening meals.
Estimate the time it will take to complete the tasks. A chart can be designed to note the data.
