Day-to-day demands can become overwhelming and create an atmosphere of constant stress. Who doesn’t want a calmer, more efficient morning, a less hectic afternoon, and a more peaceful bedtime?
By managing your time wisely and modeling that for your children, you and your family can experience a more orderly, less stressful day. By becoming proactive in how you approach time, you can make a noticeable and systemic difference in your life and the lives of your families.” 23
Time Management – It’s a Family Affair
The following ideas and strategies have been generated by parents in parenting classes and from parents and educators with many years of experience.
The magic amount of time needed to schedule with each of our children daily is 15 minutes. Yes, this may be a challenge especially if you have more than one child. But before you decide this is not possible, please look at the various options that can be implemented that allow for these personal contacts to happen.
Because we are usually “families on the go,” specific planning for homework is a must. Before developing a schedule, start with the location for doing homework.
The same technique used for homework can also be used for home chores.
